Women Painters of Washington continues a 5-venue traveling exhibit of paintings by its members, all professional artists highly experienced in their fields. Following the Opening at Schack Art Center in Everett, the exhibit shows in downtown Seattle at Women Painters of Washington Gallery at the Columbia Center Building, 701 5th Ave, suite 310, from January 8 to February 22, 2013, opening reception is January 10, 11-2pm, www.womenpainters.com.... The third venue is Childhood's End Gallery, 222 4th Ave West, Olympia, WA from March 1 to April 21, 2013 with the reception on March 1 from 5-7pm, www.childhoods-end-gallery.com.... Fourth venue is Northwind Arts Center, 2409 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA from May 3 to May 26, 2013 with the reception on May 4 from 5:30-8pm, www.northwindarts.org..... San Juan Preservation Trust Summer Social

San Juan Preservation Trust, Plein Air Washington & Crow Valley Pottery present the 5th annual 'Art for the Islands' Plein Air Show & Summer Social. Artists are invited to paint the beautiful San Juan Islands from now until the Summer Social date, Sat July 30, 2011. In addition to the juried art show & sale, there will be a 'quick-draw' & art auction. A good portion of the art sales goes to support the San Juan Preservation Trust. After July 30 a select group of paintings will be exhibited at the well known Crow Valley Pottery, located at 296 Main St. in the village of Eastsound. 360-376-4260. This is a stunningly beautiful part of the world and artists love painting it all. As a member of Plain Air Washington and a longtime lover of the islands, I wouldn't miss it! Be sure to join us.
